A retreat based on 3 ayahuasca ceremonies to receive the necessary cleansing and to achieve complete integration of mind, body and spirit. The retreat consists of the following ceremonies:Ceremonies are performed by Qeros priests, Shipibos and/or Andean and Amazonian Natives Shamans.

Important:

Note that for the physical and psychological preparation, the purgative natural water is needed to consume one day before to start the retreat, this takes around 3 hours.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Cusco / Retreat Centre Sacred Valley

Meet at our centre in Cusco at 10:00am. Upon arrival to the centre we will begin with the coca leaf reading with an Andean priest or Shaman. To take full advantage of this ceremony it is best for you to come prepared with questions that you would like answered about your life, your family, your health, etc… On average, each reading will last between 40 and 60 minutes and the transfer to the Sacred Valley has been organized based on one hour per ceremony so that you are not rushed. If you finish early, you can relax at the centre or take a short walk in the area. If your reading takes longer, that is alright too. The transfer to the community of Yanahuara where the Etnikas Travel and Healing retreat centre is located is approximately an hour and 30 minutes and your arrival time will depend on the number of people travelling in the group. For groups of 3 or more clients the coca leaf reading will take place at the retreat centre so that you may settle in while waiting for your personal session with the shaman. We will begin with a briefing about the schedule for the retreat, the instructions for the retreat house and any other necessary explanations. Once finished, you will rest for an hour in noble silence. After this rest there will be an explanation of the Andean and the ayahuasca ceremonies with the Masters. Here you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the ceremony and to explain any personal goals that you may have for the retreat. After finishing the discussion you will participate in an Andean cleansing ceremony. Later you will rest for a few hours, always remembering to maintain noble silence. This time should also be used for you to focus on what you would like to get out of this evening’s ayahuasca ceremony. If you believe in the power of prayer we suggest that you use this time to pray or meditate. This is important to ensure that you have the necessary energy and clarity for the ayahuasca ceremony. The ayahuasca ceremony will start between 7:00pm and 8:00pm with the ayahuasca master.

Day 2 – Retreat Centre (B)

You will wake up a 7:30am and have half an hour to shower and get dressed. We will have breakfast and will then have an integration conversation with the Masters about the experience during the ayahuasca ceremony. Today you will have a special diet and will rest. You may read, meditate, take a walk through the community (with the translator), always remembering to maintain noble silence. In many cases people feel tired this day due to the mental and physical cleansing that was experienced during the ayahuasca session. Only rarely do people choose to go for a walk this day normally they prefer to rest. For this reason we do not offer many options today as you must keep your energy for the second ayahuasca session. Tonight you will have your second session with the supreme and powerful master healer ayahuasca.

Day 3 – Retreat Centre (B,L,D)

Today you will wake up at 7:30am and will eat a special diet for breakfast, lunch and dinner as indicated. After breakfast we will have an integration conversation with the Masters about the experience during the ayahuasca healing session. You will enjoy a relaxing and tranquil day and will be able to take walks outside or within the village (with the translator) or you can rest, read, meditate, practice yoga or other. Transport outside of the village is not included. Optional: Professional masters of yoga, meditation, Reiki, massage and others are available for an additional fee as are guided visits to Pisac and Ollantaytambo or to Maras and Moray. The noble silence will be broken only outside of the retreat centre if you decide to leave the village. The noble silence will be broken only with the translator and not with the Masters.

Day 4 – Retreat Centre

Today you will again fast and will only drink water without forgetting the noble silence. You may go for small walks around the village (with the translator), rest, read, meditate, practice yoga or other activities however you must not over-exert yourself to keep your energy for the third ceremony with the supreme and powerful healer, ayahuasca. Optional: Professional masters of yoga, Reiki, meditation with the alignment of chakras or relaxation, Tai Chi, etc… are available for an additional fee.

Day 5 – Retreat Centre / Aguas Calientes (B)

You will wake up a 7:00am and have half an hour to shower and get dressed. At 7:30 we will be ready and prepared for the last and most important healing session, the Offering to Pacha Mama or Mother Earth which will be performed by a Quechua Master Shaman. Upon completion of this ceremony we will have breakfast followed by an integration discussion about the experience of the ayahuasca and other ceremony with the Masters. Later you will take the train to the town of Machu Picchu where you can enjoy the hot springs, visit the nearby waterfall or just relax and take in all of the wisdom that your ceremonies have provided.

Day 6 – Machu Picchu / Cusco (B)

Rise early to catch the bus up to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the site after which you will have free time to visit the site. Return to Cusco this evening.

Day 7 – Depart Cusco (B)

Transfer to airport. End of services.

Indications

Do not consume drugs, alcohol, coffee or chocolate for two days prior to your Ayahuasca ceremony. Avoid canned food, red meat and pork, cold cuts and excessive salt and sugar. You should not be taking any medical prescription drugs, antibiotics, injections, pills, or others at the time of the ceremony (two days prior) and sexual abstinence including masturbation for one day prior the ceremony. We indicate that the women, who are in menstrual period or state of pregnant, abstain to participate. During your stay with Etnika’s we remind you that it is not permitted to smoke, drink alcohol and take any type of prescription or non-prescription drugs without consulting us.

We would like to remind you to take the following with you for each excursion:
