The retreat consists of the following ceremonies:Ceremonies are performed by Qeros priests, Shipibos and/or Andean and Amazonian natives Shamans

• Andean medicinal water (Physical and psychological preparation before taking ayahuasca)
• Oracle or Coca Leaf Reading (diagnosis and counseling)
• Cleansing ceremony (spiritual purification works with Forgiveness)
• Two ceremonies with Ayahuasca
• Ceremonial Offering of gratitude to Mother Earth  or Pacha Mama (in Quechua)
• Consultations with 2 or 3 Andean and Amazonian Shamans

• Translator / assistant to ensure your full-understanding of all of the ceremonies and to assist in way necessary during your ayahuasca ceremony.

• Minimum 5, Maximum 14 participants – Please note that for groups larger than 8 people, two ayahuasca shamans will lead the ceremonies and two assistant more will help.

 Important:

Note that for the physical preparation, the medicinal water must be consumed one day before the start of the retreat.  The process takes approximately 3 hours and will be done at your hotel.

Itinerary

Day 1

Today you will be required to fast and will only be allowed water. We will begin with a Coca Leaf Reading at 10:00am at the Shamanic Centre in Cusco. This therapy will performed by the first Andean Priest or Shaman and will last between 40 and 60 minutes depending on the number of questions that you have for the shaman.  These questions can be related to your health, family, love life, etc… You will then travel to our Retreat Centre to get settled in and to rest. After resting you will take part in a cleansing and flourishing ceremony. With this you will be prepared for your Ayahuasca ceremony with the Master Ayahuasca Shaman or Ayahuascero which will be begin between 7:00pm and 8:00pm.

Day 2

You will be provided with a light breakfast and will then have an integration conversation with the ayahuasca shaman to explain your experience and to have him/her interpret your visions.  The rest of the day is free to read, meditate or enjoy your beautiful surroundings with a walk through the countryside but do not forget to conserve your energy for your second ayahuasca ceremony. We will begin this session at the same time as the previous evening.

Day 3

Early in the morning, completely prepared you will take part in the last and most important healing, the offering to Mother Earth or Pacha Mama so that you can show gratitude while creating a sense of inner and outer harmony thus providing closure for the ceremony.  This ceremony will also be performed by a Master Andean Priest. We will complete our stay with a nourishing breakfast and an integration conversation with the Masters before returning to Cusco in the early afternoon.

• Healing session with Ayahuasca – From 4 to 6 hours
• Offering to Mother Earth – 1.5 hours

Indications

Do not consume drugs, alcohol, coffee or chocolate for three days prior to your Ayahuasca ceremony. Avoid canned food, red meat and pork, processed meats such ham even if it with chicken or turkey and excessive salt and sugar. You should not be taking any medical prescription drugs, antibiotics, injections, pills, or others at the time of the ceremony (three days prior) and sexual abstinence including masturbation for one day prior the ceremony. We indicate that the women, who are in menstrual period or state of pregnant, abstain from participating. During your stay with Etnika’s we remind you that it is not permitted to smoke, drink alcohol or take any type of prescription or non-prescription drugs without consulting us.

We would like to remind you to take the following with you for each excursion:

• Sun block, a sun hat and at least 2L of water
• Raincoat or poncho
• Comfortable walking shoes or trainers
• Optional: sun glasses, camera, backpack.
• Bring your flash light if you have one.
• A change of clothes and several changes of underwear
